Trends for Spring: Sports Luxe Sleek vs. Farm Girl Demure

Spring time is here and it's indisputably time to bring those bare arms and pins out of hibernation but what trend will you be sporting? The Sports Luxe trend is glamourous, suave and relaxed - giving fashionistas everywhere a cutting edge makeover. On the other hand, the Prairie look embraces everything romantic and sprightly about spring. This trend is for the free spirited style stalkers among us. Can't decide? Lipstick and Loudmouths puts them head to head to find a final verdict.

Topshop's 'Off Track' collection vs. River Island's 'Prairie' collection

Sports Luxe:

Black, white and grey are the stars of this trend - accented by the occasional pop of colour splicing through. Although it brings some relaxed silhouettes to the table, the incorporation of sharp, minimal tailoring gives it a modern edge that screams super cool. If you're one for the futuristic bad girl look, I suggest you pull your tresses into a high pony and throw on some tracksuit bottoms with heels. Major glam points shall be awarded.

Farm Girl Chic:

If the sunshine makes you think of daisy chains, windswept hair and running through the fields to the soundtrack of Mumford & Sons, then, most likely, you are suited to the Prairie trend. This is a combination of floaty fabric, Aztec prints and Navajo fringing. Youthful and fluent, this trend will have you looking blushing and beautiful with or without the field.

Sports Luxe reigns supreme!
